The British actress Emilia Clarke is known around the world for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series Game of Thrones. For her role in this series, she received multiple awards and nominations including four Emmy award nominations. She is one of the most beautiful and top-growing Hollywood actresses. Screen International magazine named her as one of the “UK Stars of Tomorrow 2010”.

Though Emilia Clarke is known mostly for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, she has also been part of many other productions. She has been working in other television series and has also starred in many movies such as Dom Hemingway (2013), Terminator Genisys (2015), Me Before You (2016), Solo; A Star Wars Stroy (2018), and many others. Early Life of Emilia Clarke

Her full name is Emilia Isobel Euphemia Rose Clarke. She was born in London, on October 23, 1986. Her parents were Peter Clarke, a theater sound engineer, and Jennifer, a businesswoman who is currently (in 2021) the vice-president for marketing at a global management consultancy firm. Emilia Clarke lived in Oxfordshire with her parents. Clarke a brother named Bennett, who is also in the entertainment industry, and on the set of Game of Thrones, he was one of the camera crew members.

Emilia Clarke wanted to become an actress from the age of three. She has said that she watched the musical Show Boat, and became interested in acting. Her father Peter Clarke took her to a West End audition for The Goodbye Girl, a Neil Simon musical when she was only 10 years old. Emilia Clarke went to Rye St Antony School in Headington and St Edward’s School in Oxford for studies, which she left in 2005. She has stated that she went to posh schools but she wasn’t a posh girl, she said that most of the girls at these schools came from conservative backgrounds, so she and her friends felt like outsiders. She applied for RADA, LAMDA, and Guildhall but did not get admission. So she took on some jobs and traveled for a while, and then got admission to Drama Centre London from where she graduated in 2009.

Emilia Clarke started to perform on stage while she was in school. She began acting in student productions when she was studying at St Edward’s School. Then she appeared in Twelfth Night and West Side Story. She also appeared in a co-production of Drama Centre London and Company of Angels, Sense (2009).

Her film role in a film was in a short film Drop the Dog, by a student from the University of London. Clarke graduated from Drama Centre London in 2009. Clarke played the role of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones. Daenerys Targaryen is the last living person of the House Targaryen who had ruled the seven kingdoms for over three hundred years, before losing the throne to House Baratheon. Game of Thrones began in April 2011 and ended in May 2019. It ran for nine years and had a total of eight seasons. Emilia Clarke portrayed Daenerys in all eight seasons.

Film Career of Emilia Clarke

In 2012, Emilia Clarke played Malu in a short thriller drama Shackled, which was later featured in Murder Manual, a horror anthology series, by 2020 Prime Video. Later that year she co-starred with Elliott Tittensor, in the comedy film Spike Island. The film follows the story of a group of friends who try to go to the namesake island of The Stone Roses 1990 concert.

She appeared as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s (a broadway production), from March to April 2013. Though the nude scene of Emilia Clarke has a fanship of its own, the show received mixed reviews from critics. She then starred in Dom Hemingway, a black comedy-crime drama film. In May 2013, Clarke was cast in James Franko’s film adaptation of the novel The Garden of Last Days. James Franko was directing and starring in this film, but he left the film after some conflict with the film distributor Millennium Entertainment.

In 2019, Emilia Clarke co-starred with Jack Huston to play the female lead in the crime thriller Above Suspicion (2019). The film is based on Joe Sharkey’s novel. Above Suspicion premiered on June 20, 2019, in the United Arab Emirates, and is set to be released in the United States on May 7, 2021. As of now, the film has received overall good reviews, and Clarke’s performance is being highly praised by the critics. In late 2019, Clarke appeared in the romantic comedy-drama Last Christmas. It did well on the box office, it grossed over $121 million worldwide. The film received negative reviews from the critics, but Clarke’s performance was well-received.

She will star in the English Adaptation of the Korean romantic comedy film The Beauty Inside (2015), which is in its pre-production phase. In the film Let Me Count the Ways, she will portray the English poet Elizabeth Barrett. She will also appear as Nina in The Seagull and will play the voice role of Malicia in The Amazing Maurice (2022).
